Lindsay C. Sheppard is a graduate student in the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Brock University. Her specific interests include intersections of girlhood and activism in online and offline spaces, activism through art, conceptualizing agency, and young people’s participation. Her undergraduate thesis examined how teenage girls use self-generated blogs/websites to mobilize their activism and activist identities, and the implications of this activism for better understanding teenage girls’ online political engagement.
