In the Palestinian context, English as a foreign language was implemented by the Ministry of Education as a core subject from the first grade (Awad, 2013). Thus, learning English grammar has become a fundamental step in the preparation of students for future educational and professional goals. In schools and universities, most teachers and instructors place a great deal of emphasis on the teaching of grammatical concepts, believing that learning a second language entails the mastery of its grammatical rules and structures.
