ABSTRACT

Livestreaming has become mainstay in newsrooms around the world. Instant content has challenged those in higher education to learn new strategies and challenged students to “go live” or go home. Livestreaming also has changed radio, allowing this medium an opportunity to share in the video space and create new courses for those who seek careers in this field. It provides an immediate audience, the opportunity for self-critiques, and extends reach and access. While livestreaming can intimidate instructors, the advantages outweigh the risks. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to do a deep dive into real-time ethics, law and content strategy.
