ABSTRACT

Intimacy suggests closeness, proximity, even entanglement. In my research on queer nightlife, I found the spaces I worked in entangled in global politics such that people, feelings, and music from across the globe converged there, were in fact gathered there by the pushes and pulls of racial capitalism that bring diasporas into each others’ orbits.
