Rotor dynamic analysis of the vertical hydro-hybrid bearing rotor coupled system of a two-circuit main loop liquid Sodium pump system

This work focuses on the rotor dynamic analysis of the vertical hydro-hybrid bearing-rotor system of a two-circuit main loop liquid Sodium pump system. A new modelling method for the vertical hydro-hybrid bearing-rotor system is put forward. Lubrication parameters are compared with the reference, which verifies correctness of the model. Contours pressure of the bearing are presented. Modal analysis of the rotor system is performed. The first four modes of the system are extracted. Harmonic responses of the system are simulated. Time histories of the displacements, their Fast Fourier transforms (FFT) and axis orbits at different positions of the plain journal bearing, the impeller and the rolling element bearing under different operating conditions are analyzed. Resonance of the rotor system will not be induced under rated operation conditions. Research results are of significance for such vertical hydro-hybrid bearing rotor systems.
