Effect of Collaborations on Coauthorship Graph Characteristics in the Field of Physics in Russia

Abstract

Topological properties of the coauthorship graph are considered as applied to studies on physical sciences in Russia for 2012—2018. It was shown that key global properties of the coauthorship graph are formed by publications with a relatively small number of authors. Based on the analysis of characteristics of the distributions of degrees and weighted vertex degrees, it was shown that the weighted graph with edge weights equal to the fractional number most accurately describes the main features of the interaction of researchers in this field.
