We analyze the temporal and spatial variability of the satellite-measured brightness temperature above the ocean in the frequency range of resonance absorption in the atmospheric water vapor and the humidity characteristics of air, as well as their interrelations in the regions of the development of tropical hurricanes and their propagation from the initiation areas. The examples illustrating the possibility of direct use of the brightness temperature of the ocean–atmosphere system in this region of the microwave range for localizing the hurricane-initiation areas, marking the coordinates of their travel in the ocean, and determining the propagation velocity without utilizing the meteorological-observation data are given.
