Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) determines element-specific intermolecular interactions of light elements in liquid phase since it is related to a core electron excitation. We have newly developed liquid cells and devices with the precise photoabsorbance control technique. We demonstrate here their applications to XAS in transmission measurement with aqueous acetonitrile solutions and XAS in fluorescence-yield measurement with microfluidic systems.
