Hairy Particles Synthesized by Living Anionic Polymerization-Induced Self-Assembly and Evaluation of Their Nanostructure

Hairy particles consisting of polyisoprene-b-polystyrene (PI-b-PS) were synthesized by polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) based on living anionic polymerization method. The molecular aggregation state of the hairy particles in wet condition was investigated in detail. The hairy particles in wet state formed core-shell structure with PS core radii of 8.6 nm and PI shell thickness of 4.1 nm.
