Acute Renal Failure in children in need of dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, including intermittent and continuous blood filtration, or blood dialysis, can be managed in various ways. Selection of dialysis in the management of a particular patient, the goal of dialysis use of each model and institutional resources are determined by several factors, including the unique strengths and weaknesses. To provide practical guidance for physicians involved in managing acute renal failure in children, this review considers these aspects of acute renal failure management.
