Identification and parametrization of polycyclicity in the primary housing market

Parameterization and detailed analysis of polycyclicity on the housing market formed the basic goal of the research. For the purposes of this study, time series analysis was applied and the correlation of phenomena occurring on it was determined. The co-occurrence of cycles on the investigated housing market was identified and analyzed by application of the magnitude scalogram using Mores wavelet and synchrosqueezed transform of salaries waves using Morlet wavelet tools. The conducted research provided grounds for the statement that cyclical phenomena co-occur simultaneously in the housing market. These phenomena are characterized by various amplitudes and frequencies. An important insight from the conducted research was gained on the basis of the observation that the frequency of the cycles change in the specific years. Studies have demonstrated the fact that the amplitudes of the identified cycles change and that the less active cycles are taken over by the more active ones.
