Whilemanystudiesfocusedonwhatismanagementinformationsystem(MIS)major,howitattracts potentialstudents,anddescribesneededskills,theperceptionsoffreshMISgraduates’continuous intentiontostayworkinginthefield,especiallyindevelopingcountrieshasnotyetbeenstudied empirically. In addition, there seems to be minimal effort investigating the issue from the Arab perspective.Thisarticleisthefirstthatdevelopsacontinuousmodelandisbuiltupontheexpectation confirmationmodelandothersubsequentefforts.Thismodellinksthreeexternalvariables,among themtwonewones:skill-jobfit,Wasta,andcomputerself-efficacy.Thismodelwasvalidatedusing a sampleof105graduates inKuwait.Results reveal that thenewcultural variable “Wasta”has impactoncontinuousintentionthroughthemediationofsatisfaction,whileskilljobandcomputer self-efficacyaffectcontinuousintentionthroughthemediationofexpectationandconfirmation,and theskill-jobfitexertthestrongestimpactonintention.Thisresearchisexpectedtoadvanceboth theoryandpractice.
