ABSTRACT

Existing literature has barely explored the role of tourist experiences in the tourism-led migration process. Focusing on surfing-oriented migrants in a coastal municipality, this paper explores the relationship between the role of tourist experiences and factors influencing migrants’ desires and decisions to migrate from a long-term perspective. Data transcribed from interviews about the migrants’ trajectories were analyzed using the trajectory equifinality model, a qualitative research method for visualizing individuals’ life courses and interrelationships between individuals and environments. This paper provides insights into the previously unexplored relationship between tourism and migration destination in tourism-led migration research.

现有文献几乎没有探讨游客体验在以旅游为主导的移民过程中的作用。本文以沿海城市中以冲浪为导向的移民为重点，从长远的角度探讨了游客体验的作用与影响移民愿望和决定的因素之间的关系。使用轨迹均等模型分析了采访中记录的有关移民轨迹的数据，该模型是定性研究方法，用于可视化个体的生活历程以及个体与环境之间的相互关系。本文提供了在旅游主导的移民研究中对旅游与移民目的地之间尚未探索的关系的见解。
