We would like to begin our editorial for this year by thanking Associate Editors who have stepped down in the past year and welcoming those who have joined Ethics. Michele Moody-Adams stepped down after many years of superb service to the journal. She painstakingly handled a number of quite onerous editing assignments duringher timewithus. KasperLippertRasmussen stepped down after ten years of outstanding service. He has received a large grant to run a center for the experimental-philosophical study of discrimination. We thank them for all they have done for Ethics and wish them great success with their future endeavors. Four new Associate Editors have joined Ethics: Japa Pallikkathayil (University of Pittsburgh), Stephen Finlay (Australia Catholic University), Christian Barry (Australian National University), and Alex Guerrero (Rutgers University). We look forward to working with all of them. Ethics has continued to function smoothly over the past year, thanks to our Managing Editor, Joe Muszynski, and our graduate student editorial assistants, Karolina Wisniewska (University of Arizona), Matthew Vermaire (University of Texas, Austin), and Justin Yee (University of Missouri– St. Louis). The time to completion of initial screenings has risen, unsurprisingly, given the transition to new editors; we expect that the speed of initial screeningswill pickupover thenext year. The time tofinal decisionhas, however, remained at about four to five months (see tables 1–3). When the overall process has taken longer than we aim for, that has largely been due to ongoingdifficulties in finding reviewers and/or reviewer completion times. It is too early to fully assess the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had, or will have, on the journal, but early indications are that the journal is continuing to run efficiently. We are, of course, deeply grateful to all those who contribute to helping us produce a high-quality journal, especially in these difficult circumstances. We know that our authors and reviewers, as well as our editors andproduction staff, havemanymoredemands on their time. We are sending everyone our heartfelt wishes for their health and safety during this time.
