The 12th International Symposium on Applied Plasma Science (ISAPS ′19) was held at University of Yamanashi and Kofu Kinenbi Hotel, Yamanashi, Japan, from September 24 through 28, 2019. The authors of selected research topics presented at ISAPS ’19 were invited to write their original papers after the conference. These were peer reviewed and finally 11 papers were compiled in this special issue of Vacuum.
