Since the first volume of the Reviews in Mineralogy was published in 1974, this series (expanded to Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry in 2000) has grown to an invaluable library comprising 86 volumes on various topics related to mineralogy and geochemistry. Often a volume from that series is given by an advisor to a young graduate student or postdoc as a roadmap when they enter a new research field.
