A new genus and species of the family Angarosphecidae, Decasphex cretacicus gen. et sp. nov., from the mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber is described and illustrated. The new genus and species is most similar to Burmasphex Melo et Rosa, 2018 and can be easily distinguished in having female antenna 10-segmented (vs. 12-segmented), mesosoma more elongate, forewing with cell 2cua lower, and metasomal segments 1–3 not separated with deep constrictions. Ten-segmented female antenna is a novel morphotype example of the morphological diversity of Apoidea. A key to genera of the Angarosphecidae is provided.

Apoidea,Angarosphecidae)
