Abstract

Objectives

The study aimed at assessing women’s sexual health literacy and its related factors. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 400 reproductive-age women selected through a two-stage cluster sampling procedure. Results: Among the participants, 23.3% had limited related literacy. Age, education, husband’s education, and economic status affected sexual health literacy. Conclusions: Based on our findings, around one-fourth of the women had limited sexual health literacy. It is suggested that further studies be conducted to determine the sexual health literacy and the factors which influence it so that interventionist studies can be designed to promote sexual health literacy of women.
