whether metropole, psychology, or whiteness. Offering a thorough and thoughtful overview of our discipline’s colonial history, present coloniality, and decolonizing potential, it is quite simply an incredibly useful text for the present political moment where colleagues are struggling to understand what the ‘decolonial turn’ can actually look like in praxis. I will certainly be recommending it for classrooms discussing developmental psychology, adolescence, identity, (trans)cultural psychology, and research methods. Inviting us to not only imagine but do a psychology committed to decoloniality, it is now up to us – its psychologist readers – to grow Decolonizing Psychology, welcoming Bhatia’s work as a spark for institutional transformation, not breathless branding.
