When a laser irradiates onto bilayer graphene composed of different carbon isotopes, different phonon frequencies resulting from different atom weights lead to non‐overlapped Raman fingerprints for the two graphene layers, which provides an opportunity to study the strain and doping state of each layer in bilayer graphene that could not be differentiated through Raman spectroscopy previously. These findings are presented in article number 2000250 by Pei Zhao and co‐workers. – The article belongs to a selection of 12 articles (arranged at the beginning of this issue) on “Electronic Properties of Novel Materials”, being also part of a virtual issue on the same topic, presented at www.pss-b.com.
