The Cover Feature shows a formate‐mediated microbial electrosynthesis (MES) reactor, along with some of the equations included in a comprehensive model of the process. The model revealed a trade‐off between the availability of CO2 (for formate production) and O2 (for microbial respiration), and that balancing these requirements could lead to a maximum biomass productivity of approximately 2 g L−1 h−1.
