Coherent elastic neutrino–nucleus scattering (CEvNS) process, discovered in 2017, requires a detailed study, since it plays an important role in the formation of the Universe and can be used to improve the safety of nuclear energy and support international programs for the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons. In this paper, we discuss development of the liquid-argon scintillation detector technology carried out by the COHERENT collaboration to create high-efficiency detectors to observe and study CEvNS in an accelerator-based experiment.
