Food-induced allergic reactions are diagnosed through corroboration of a suggestive clinical history with appropriate confirmatory tests. The major confirmatory tests include skin prick tests and serum specific immunoglobulin E (sIgE) levels. When the diagnosis is inconclusive, oral food challenges are performed (1).
