An Efficient Microwave Assisted Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel p-Tolyloxyquinoline-Triazole Hybrid Derivatives.

Abstract An efficient microwave assisted synthesis developed for a novel series of p-Tolyloxyquinoline-triazole hybrid derivatives and were synthesised starting from 2-(p-tolyloxy)quinoline-3-carbaldehyde and hydroxylacetophenes by using different chemical transformations. The target 1,2,3-triazole derivatives were obtained by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azides with alkynes using CuI as a catalyst under microwave assisted method. The title compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity, the result evident that most of the triazole derivatives were exhibited more potent antimicrobial activities.
