Divergent thinking and its application in biomass carbon electrode preparation

Divergent thinking plays an important role to enhance innovation ability of researchers. Divergent thinking is beneficial for inspiring people's creativity, breaking fixed thinking and proposing a variety of innovative method to improve efficiency of solving problem. Training divergent thinking can be applied on preparation of biomass carbon electrodes. Divergent thinking methods are divided into seven parts in this paper. They are materials divergent method, structure divergent method, function divergent method, morphology divergent method, combination divergent method, method divergent method and causality divergent method, respectively. These methods represent biomass carbon materials have composition, structure and function diversities. These materials can be applied to different battery systems. The introduction of seven methods provides reference for the preparation of carbon electrode materials for researchers, which proves the importance of training divergent thinking simultaneously.
