Structure‐controllable synthesis: Regioselectivity is essential in Baeyer‐Villiger monooxygenase‐mediated regiodivergent conversions of asymmetric ketones to generate esters in organic synthesis. A novel normal‐preferring BVMO from Gordonia sihwensis with superior regioselectivity (97 : 3) was identified, engineered, and employed to efficiently synthesize 9‐(nonanoyloxy)nonanoic acid from 10‐ketostearic acid derived from renewable plant oils.
