Rational construction of MXene/Ferrite@C hybrids with improved impedance matching for high-performance electromagnetic absorption applications

Abstract Sandwiched MXene/Ferrite@C (Ti3C2Tx/Fe3O4@C) hybrids have been successfully obtained by assembling MXene with Fe3O4@C nanoparticles derived from Fe-MOFs. The MXene/Ferrite@C hybrids achieved an excellent microwave absorption performance with a RLmin of −45.5 dB, an effective absorbing bandwidth of 3.5 GHz and a thin thickness of 1.6 mm. Therefore, the sandwiched MXene/Ferrite@C hybrids are expected to be powerful candidates for high performance electromagnetic microwave absorbers.
