Calculation and Assessment of Dynamic Parameters of Electromagnetic Elements of Circuit Breakers

Abstract

A method for the design calculation of an electromagnet minimized by the mass of active materials, according to the dynamics, is proposed. The results of calculating the dynamic parameters of the actuating element of the circuit breakers are given: the starting time, travel time, and response time. The calculations were performed taking into account the influence on the dynamic parameters of eddy currents in the secondary circuit of the valve electromagnet. The influence on the basic dynamic parameters of such initial design data as the initial value of the working air gap, the initial mechanical force, and ambient temperature is analyzed.
