ABSTRACT

The hitherto unknown male of Bellimeris stoetzneri (Betrem, 1928), of which identification is validated through DNA barcoding analysis, is described, and generic characteristics of the Bellimeris Betrem, 1972 including preliminary male characteristics is provided. Taxonomic validity of Megacampsomeris szetschwanensis (Betrem, 1928) against B. stoetzneri is ascertained. Observed ecological information and current status of B. stoetzneri in S. Korea is presented as well.
