Outside Front Cover: With the continuous development of pulsed laser deposition as a versatile technique for the deposition of complex thin films, there is need for a better understanding of the role and control of deposition parameters. The novel implementation of floating regime of the Langmuir probe technique, coupled with angular and time‐resolved measurements during laser ablation of an Ag target, revealed the structuring of the plasma plume, which was controlled through N2 addition. The increase in the background gas pressure lead to the confinement and faster thermalization of the plasma. Optical emission spectroscopy investigations showed the presence of excited Ag and N atoms, as well as multiple charged Ag ions, each Ag species characterizing a plasma structure with unique kinetic and thermal properties.
