Investigation on the transfer characteristics of the normal interface force

Abstract

This study analyzes a vibration transmission system model composed of excitation component, interface paths and receiver component from the perspective of interface path transfer. Since the rough surface topography has a certain influence on the vibration transmission of the interface, the surface spectrum analysis of the contact surface is firstly given by using the areal power spectral density (APSD) method. Then based on the established vibration transfer model, two indexes of interface path transmissibility and interface insertion loss rate are proposed to analyze the contribution of each interface path to vibration transfer. The numerical results show that the order of the different interface forces to vibration transfer can be clearly given in the frequency domain. This can help designers find the main transfer path quickly, and then modify interface parameters to meet the requirements of vibration control.
