Jasminum chiae (Oleaceae), a new species from tropical limestone mountains in Cangyuan County, Yunnan Province, China is described here. This new species is similar to J. longitubum, but differs in having 5–8 pairs of lateral veins, abaxially conspicuous quaternary veins of leaf blade when dry, subulate‐filiform bracts at base of inflorescence, and larger inflorescences. Besides it also resembles J. adenophyllum and J. kaulbackii, but is distinguished by its subcordate or rounded laminar base, abaxially conspicuous quaternary veins of leaf blade when dry, and shorter calyx lobes.
