DNA aptamers are the new approach for anti‐HIV‐1 RT. These aptamers were isolated by the use of a DNA library complexed to WT HIV‐1 RT. The selected DNA aptamers showed an inhibitory effect on the polymerase reaction of HIV‐1 RTs (WT and KY mutant). NMR spectroscopy showed that the aptamer induced a conformational change in HIV‐1 RT′s structure.
