Control of the T7 promoter system: TALE selectively suppresses protein expression through target‐site‐specific DNA recognition and DNA binding. As competitive inhibition of TALE binding restored protein synthesis levels, our results show that TALE can regulate the expression of the T7 promoter system by DNA recognition.
