Changing the Loading Conditions of the Blade of a Soil Processing Machine during Abrasive Wear

Abstract

Any work of soil-processing machines is accompanied by abrasive wear of working bodies and, first of all, their blades with the characteristic formation of rear chamfers on them. The use of methods and bench equipment for accelerated simulation loads in this study allowed us to determine the areas of normal pressure plots on the friction surfaces and predict the consequences of wear results. It was found that an increase in the angle of the rear chamfer as a result of wear increases the area of the plots of normal pressure on the blades, while increasing the energy consumption and reducing the quality of work. The research results obtained in this paper are proposed to be used in the development of new designs of working bodies of soil-processing machines.
