Kinetic phenomena in environments without a center of symmetry

Abstract It is shown that basing on the symmetry of a crystal, it is possible to predict direction and the geometry of the experiment when the photovoltaic current is different from zero. From the obtained results it follows, that the energy of the charge carriers responsible for the photovoltaic current is much higher than the thermal contribution to the energy of these carriers and, therefore, the thermal contribution to the energy can be neglected. So, the temperature dependences of the mobility eternalizing nonequilibrium charge carriers and equilibrium carriers are different. The obtained values of the mobility eternalizing nonequilibrium charge carriers in media without a center of symmetry is = (103 ÷ 104) cm2/(V·s) and this is much higher than the values of equilibrium mobility of charge carriers measured in the experiments. This fact relates to the features of micro mechanisms of the Anomalous photovoltaic effect.
