For the paper Liu et al. J Biomed Mater Res 78(4): 798–807 (2006) – DOI: 10.1002/jbm.a.30734, we inadvertently failed to reference to the republication of a subset of the panels of Figure 1 (labeled PTC25, PTC35, PTC45, and PTC70) and Figure 2 (labeled PTC25, PTC35, and PLGA) which were originally published in Liu et al. Nanotechnology 16 S601–S608 (2005) ‐ DOI: 10.1088/0957‐4,484/16/7/038 as part of Figure 1 (a, b, c, and d, respectively) and Figure 2 (a, PTC25; b, PTC35; e, PLGA, respectively), respectively.

Importantly, this data is our own and the conclusions from the two papers are different.
