It all began with 2D and 3D designs, but now DNA nanotechnology along with DNA origami has expanded into diverse areas of application like scaffolds for nanoscale matter organization, bioimaging, super‐resolution imaging, therapeutics delivery, etc. This review covers design principles in DNA nanotechnology, bio‐ and biomedical applications and provides a perspective for future ventures in DNA nanotechnology.
