Performance analysis of semi-rigid connections in prefabricated high-rise steel structures

In this study, two types of prefabricated steel structures with a new type of semi-rigid connection were investigated, and the effects of prestressed cable and wall panel were evaluated. A semi-rigid connection test was carried out to evaluate the rotational properties, and the initial cross-sections of structural components were optimized using a proposed optimization program. The prefabricated high-rise structures were significantly affected by the bending properties of semi-rigid connections, and the stiffness of the steel frame was found to be much more significant than that of modular structures. This proposed method provides a theoretical supplement to the design code of steel modular structure.
