Abstract

Aljarrah et al. (2015) [A New Weibull-Pareto Distribution. Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 44:19, 4077-4095] introduced and studied a new Weibull-Pareto distribution based on the quantile of log-logistic distribution.They used the method of maximum likelihood to estimate the parameters of the Weibull-Pareto distribution. But they made some mistakes in presenting the log-likelihood function. In this note, we will correct them.
