A new species, Tetrataenium kumaonense (Apiaceae), is described from the State of Uttarakhand, northern India. The new species is related to T. lallii, but differs from the latter in its nearly glabrous leaf blades and stems, shape and dissection of leaf segments, and shape of mericarps. Fruit characters of the new species are illustrated, and images of its type specimens are provided. In addition, T. himalayense (described from the Himachal Pradesh State, India) is reduced to the synonymy of T. canescens on the basis of morphological data.
