On page 2467, Haiqing Lin and colleagues provide a timely review of various strategies adopted to molecularly engineer polymer membranes for H2/CO2 separation, enabling cost‐effective H2 purification and CO2 capture. The authors exhaustively reviewe functional polymers and engineered polymers by cross‐linking, thermal treatment, thermal rearrangement, carbonization, and blending with polymers and size‐sieving or H2‐sorptive nano‐fillers. These emerging polymers are benchmarked with state‐of‐the‐art commercial membranes to demonstrate their potential. (DOI: 10.1002/pol.20200220)
