ABSTRACT The global market value of sales of paint/powder materials obtained from various sources including consultancy reports, data from national and regional statistics offices, and trade associations has been used to estimate the total surface finishing industry value globally. It is thought that the industry, all processes and both sub-contract and in-house sectors, is worth at least US$800 Bn and may have reached a trillion dollar valuation by the end of 2019.
