The 15th workshop European Collaboration in Higher Education on Radiological and Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Protection was held in Portopalo di Capo Passero, Italy, June 2–52019. Participants from five countrieswerepresenting 20papers, 14 ofwhichhave been collected as selected works to appear in this special issue. This year, we took the opportunity to review 15 years of successful cooperation in the network. The contribution by F. Tondeur et al. reflects that history. Initially, the network CHERNE had started in order to share educational resources to the benefit of all students within the network. The European Commission provided a unique support with ERASMUS (now ERASMUS+) for the exchange of students and staff. Other initiatives could also utilized to pursue the goals of the network:many Intensive Programs (IPs) could be organized, now activities are funded by Strategic Partnership (SP) or Capacity Building programs. Two publications report on educational activities within the network. Cooperation in research projects were added over time, so the majority of the papers shows the multitude of research topics covered by the partners. The number of members has increased over the years with highs and lows, as also the number of activities has kept increasing steadily. We wish the network continued success and look forward to 16th workshop to be organized in Brussels, Belgium, in 2020. The Scientific Committee

欧盟委员会通过 ERASMUS(现在的 ERASMUS+)为学生和教职员工的交流提供了独特的支持。
