Abstract The synthesis of amphiphilic cationic β-cyclodextrin derivatives that contain the residues of some pharmacologically important acids have been proposed. The acid residues have been attached to cyclodextrins through the linker of different lengths at the primary hydroxyl groups. The hydrophobic fragments of palmitic acid have been attached to both the primary and secondary hydroxyl groups.
