Lubricating Oils Obtained via Modifying Magnetic Nanofluids

Abstract

A novel approach to improving the lubricating properties of magnetic nanofluids based on polyethylsiloxane operated in a mode of boundary friction based on their modification using antifriction additives has been studied. It has been established that the greatest tribotechnical effect can be achieved via introducing chlorine-containing antiscuff additives to magnetic nanofluids. Recommendations are given concerning the practical use of the obtained magnetic lubricating compositions.
