Abstract A new phenylpropanoid ester, anthriscusin I (1), along with six known compounds (2–7) were isolated from the Anthriscus sylvestris (L.) Hoffm roots. The new compound structure was elucidated via spectroscopic analyses, while the known compounds were identified via comparison literature. The chemotaxonomic significance of these compounds was discussed.
