3D frameworks based on molybdovanadate cluster of [VMo7O26]5- showing electrochemical sensing of ascorbic acid

Abstract Two new molybdovanadate compounds, Na[NH4]2[Na(C4H9NO)]2[VMo7O26] (1), [C4H9NO]5[VMo7O26]·2H2O (2) have been successfully isolated by conventional self-assembly reactions. Compound 1 adopts a three-dimensional (3D) structure, in which the [VMo7O26]5− clusters are bridged by Na+ ions and {Na(C4H9NO)} units. In compound 2, the [VMo7O26]5− anions, protonated [C4H9NO]+ cations, and lattice water molecules are joined together via hydrogen bond interactions to form a 3D supramolecular framework. Besides, 1- and 2-modified electrodes show good electrochemical sensing performance towards the determination of ascorbic acid.
