Mesoporous KIT-5 Loaded with Silver Vanadate Catalyzed Photodegradation of Cationic Dye

Abstract AgVO3 nanorods were loaded on mesoporous KIT-5. The structural properties of AgVO3 loaded KIT-5 material was studied. The modified AgVO3@KIT-5 material was found to degrade methylene blue dye photocatalytically. The adsorption and degradation properties of the catalyst were studied using UV-visible spectroscopic analysis and band gap calculation. The photocatalytic efficiency of AgVO3@KIT-5 material was found to be 89.5%. The recycled catalyst was also found to possess good photocatalytic efficiency.
