Abstract

The influence of the smoothing force, the tool radius, the machining speed, and the supply on the distribution of azimuthal and axial residual stress, the microhardness, and the depth of strain hardening is analyzed for the machining of 30ХГСН2А-ВД steel by ASB-1 synthetic diamond. Empirical equations for these parameters are presented.
